Engineering & Manufacturing

In February 1986 Advanced Personnel Services founder Geoff Densem placed into work one of the very first temporary staff into the engineering sector in Christchurch while working for a multinational recruitment company. After 18 months Geoff came to the conclusion that a lot of the philosophies and principles he was working to, were not in line with his personal practices. From September 1987 he registered Advanced Personnel Services as a limited company and the engineering division was the foundation of where Advanced Personnel is today.

The key difference of why we grew so quickly is still one of the main reasons why Advanced Personnel is consistently successful today. “The recruitment consultants we have working for us come from a solid background within the industry they recruit for”. Geoff was the first example of this.
Being a Trade Qualified Fitter Turner himself, he worked in partnership with clients and quickly gained creditability by listening and understanding his clients’ needs by having the in-depth knowledge.

We work with people and businesses to improve the production process from start to finish. We keep the whole production process in mind yet zero in on particular portions of the process. We are inspired by starting with a natural resource, such as a block of steel and ending with a usable, viable product.

Our clients’ success or failure directly impacts the advancement of technology and the spread of innovation. This broad area includes the design and development of products as well as maintenance across a range of levels.  Whether from manufacturing such as machining or welding through to sophisticated robotics we aim to assist you achieve higher consistency and quality, reduced lead times and improve work flow.
