In February 1986 Geoff Densem placed into work one of the very first temporary staff into the engineering sector in Christchurch while working at a multinational recruitment company.

After 18 months Geoff realised that a lot of the philosophies and principles he was working to were not in line with his personal practices.

From September 1987 he registered Advanced Personnel Services and the engineering division was the foundation of where Advanced Personnel is today.

Infrastructure and Construction

The infrastructure and building almost by natural progression followed with its start-up phase almost immediately after the engineering division. This was due to the synergy between the two sectors, each presenting the same challenges in terms of attracting qualified candidates.
